I believe this movement by Wangari shows that even thou the odds are stacked against you, you can make a change. This notion should be welcomed by us who want to end dating violence, that a change can come. It takes one person to lead the charge and make it possible for the next generation to live a more beneficial life.
The YouTube clip made a great point about not standing up for ourselves, but for our children. This idea should be applied to the dating violence movement. There needs to be a large scale movement in order to have a large scale effect. Dating violence is a huge issue and we need to start addressing it .
